Stage Technologies announce global partnership with Seimens
 

UK Stage engineering and automation specialists Stage Technologies were proud to publicly announce their worldwide partnership with Siemens during an open day held at the Gφteborg Stadsteater in Sweden last week. The event coincided aptly with the production of Siemens 400,000th MasterDrive, and the end of a highly successful first season for the Stadsteater using Stage Technologies state-of-the-art power flying solution.
Co-hosted by Siemens and Stage Technologies some of the entertainment industries leading consultants were invited to the event to tour one of the latest automation solutions resulting from this partnership. Mark Ager, Stage Technologies Managing Director and Ian Bowman, Director of Marketing and Communications for Siemens, leading the initial discussion forum explained the dividends connected with an integrated drive solution – namely it’s cost effectiveness and compact nature, a quality key to helping solve many of the logistical problems associated with automating both the historic theatre and the modern day cruise liner.

The installation featuring Stage Technologies MaxisID (integrated drive) technology not only fits neatly into the existing 1934 grid, but also gives the Stadsteater the ability expand the system to incorporate extra motorised axes as and when required by the production manager. John Hastie, Sales and Marketing Director for Stage Technologies, said of the solution: “The Stadsteater project was all about partnership. Stage Technologies provide the creative flair and theatre knowledge, and when this is combined, as in Gothenburg, with detailed applications engineering from HMK and the huge technical innovation and world-wide support from Siemens, the result is a leading edge solution.”
